From the Hartz Mountains towrds the Wellington Range

This shot was taken while walking on the track to Lake Esperance in the Hartz Mountains National Park.  I was up there to interview a Ranger for the ABC Radio National series, A Walk in the Park.

Snow at Mt Field National Park

It does get cold enough to snow in Tasmania.  This was taken at Mt Field National Park. Even though I was driving a 4WD, there was no way to get even close to the top car park

White sands at Mt William National Park

On the other hand, in Summer the warm white sand beaches and crystal clear blue-green waters are tempting. This huge stretch of beach is in Mt William National Park on Tasmania's north-east coast.

Rainforest, Hartz Mountains

This shot was taken from a lookout over the Arve River in the Hartz Mountains area. A ray of sunshine illuminated the dense temperate rainforest just for a few seconds and was gone.

The Hazards at Freycinet National Park

The Hazards are made of pink granite. This shot was taken at dawn from Honeymoon Bay, looking across the water to The Hazards.  Freycinet National Park is a fabulous place.
